Bringing health data together for real world evidence
Carelon Research works closely with a number of organizations to close gaps in evidence.
Our partnership with PCORnet focuses on closing gaps in evidence through patient-centered comparative effectiveness. To achieve this goal, data is often needed from different data sources.
Below are two videos* highlighting the approach to link data across multiple sources. The researcher video highlights the process to conduct data linkage across clinical research networks, self-reported patient networks and health plans through patient privacy preserving methods. The member video expands to also explain direct patient engagement in clinical research through an authorization process for members of health plans and health systems to provide their approval for researchers to utilize their health data in research.
